Project 52, Week 7

I was thrilled to be RAK'd with Hugs & Kisses by Gina Marie Huff at Weeds and Wildflowers and used it to scrap week 7 of my Project 52! You can see the oxox doodle at the end of the journaling using it. The red spotted hearts are from Full of Wonder and everything else from Life 365. If you're struggling to scrap you Project 365 or 52 take a look at Gina's Life 365, along with her templates her kit makes it sooooo easy to scrap!

Butterfly Gardening

Gabs asked 'What the heck is butterfly gardening?' And, that's what I thought when I first heard of it, so decided to find out a little bit more.

The ButterflySite has some great information about growing plants that attract butterflies, but the idea I like the most is rearing the butterflies and making a little home for them. YES, you really can do this! Take a look at this butterfly rearing kit - here!

They take approximately two weeks to change from catapillars into butterflies so I'll order mine in March as I have this idea in my head that it will be exciting for Joshua to watch butterflies hatch on his birthday. Altho in reality I'm sure he'll be like 'give me a terminator and more cake!'

And what do you do with them oncthe butterflies once they are fully formed adults? Why get them a little house to live in of course! :-)

A New Hobby, Perhaps?

Have you seen ScarletSierra aka Sara is this week's featured scrapper over at DST? Her gallery is awesome and I loved reading more about her as she answered the DST questions and I noticed she listed 'butterfly gardening' as one of her hobbies! What a sweet hobby and of course I now want to do that too, so expect some posts very soon about butterfly gardening! :-)

Valentine Banner

Oh my gosh, just look at what the lovely Karen Bowers has made for Valentine's day.
